Hawaii, USA

I had the most amazing time in Hawaii recently. I love the Aloha spirit.. such beautiful islands and friendly people and so much fun to be had. Iit was a very special time indeed.. And I'm a very, very happy girl indeed!

Waikiki sunsets

North Shore of Oahu
East coast of Maui - a deceptively calm looking place..
Along the amazing "Road to Hana".. 52 miles of beautiful coastline and through gorgeous rainforest with many waterfalls along the way as well as 620 bends and turns and over 59 bridges (46 of which are one-lane only!) We SURVIVED the Road to Hana indeed!
Wailea Coastline.. Isn't this just the most perfect place in the world to be proposed to!! :-) Maui nõ ka ‘oi!
Famous LA

Email me if you'd like to purchase any of these as prints or canvasses. If you're getting married or know of anyone getting married in Hawaii, please contact me for a special destination wedding photography quote!

Engagement: James & Charlotte

I had a lovely morning with James and Charlotte at the Jacklett Farm, near Danbury on Saturday morning doing their pre-wedding portraits. Here's a few of our favourites showing them on the farm off:
And my absolute favourite image of the day has to be this one:
Guess who will be wearing a bow tie for the wedding!
I can't wait to photograph Charlotte and James' wedding towards the end of June and know we're going to have a lot of fun..

Happy wedding planning until then you two! :-) I know all your hard work is going to result in a perfect wedding day.. x

Venezia, Italy

For the bank holiday I escaped for the weekend with my best friend to Venice - it's my third visit in recent years as I *LOOOOOOVE* photographing there. I'm holding thumbs that I'll get to photograph a wedding there soon!

Here are a few of my favourites from the weekend:

I love the islands of Murano and Burano and we had a great time photographing all the colourful glass, coloured buildings and various textures. I also had a great play around with various solid one colour backgrounds with my friend and seeing and comparing how differing colours and tones suit some people better in portrait photography. Venezia and her islands really is a photographer's dream!

If you're getting married or know of anyone getting married in Venice, please contact me for a special quote!

Wedding: Alan & Daniella

Alan and Daniella's wedding was the last one of my many September weddings last year and were married at the Woodlands Park Hotel very bright and early on a Sunday morning. Here's a few pages from their bespoke album which I thought showed all the emotions of the day beautifully.
After the civil ceremony, Daniella's uncle incorporated a few beautiful Jewish traditions into their day..
Lots of congratulations Alan & Dan! I'm so pleased I was your wedding photographer and was there to share your day with you. Wishing you lots of love and happy times xx

Thank you's
Graeme from the Woodlands Park Hotel was amazing, he really did a wonderful job of keeping everyone on time and providing excellent service before you could even think of asking for anything! Thanks so much for your help Graeme.

I look forward to being back at the Woodlands Park Hotel and photographing Andy & Kim's wedding later this year..

South Africa - February 2008

I recently went back to South Africa and as it may be several years before I return to my old hometown, I wanted to document some of my favourite beaches there. Here's a few from sunrise at Umtentweni beach:

We took a drive all the way down the coast as far as Port Edward and stopped at all our favourite beaches on the way back - Trafalgar, Southbroom, Kids Beach and Ramsgate. These are from Palm Beach:
